Now a serial entrepreneur with businesses in the digital
publishing, training and project management fields, Michael and his partners

Dr NurjaanahChew Li Hua is currently the Deputy Director of the
International and Corporate Relations Office, University of Malaya, heading the
International Unit. Her areas of interest ranges from insurance law and
financial regulation on the private law/ commercial area to public health laws
& related issues, administration of criminal justice ðics,
cybercrimes, privacy& data protection law & issues, conversion issues
and laws& policies governing indigenous peoples &related issues on the

Expertise Summary
Alex Ooi has more than 18 years of financial advisory and assurance
experience with one of the Top 5 global professional services firms prior to
joining BDO Malaysia. His experience includes statutory audit of public listed
companies and multinational corporations, due diligence reviews and feasibility
studies, business valuations, internal audit and risk management and acted as
financial adviser and/or reporting accountants to public companies in their
initial public offering (IPO) and/or corporate and debt restructuring
exercises.
Alex is actively involved in IPO exercises and transaction support
services of merger and acquisition transactions. He also acts as reporting
accountant in debt finance exercises which includes Islamic financial products.
Alex is actively involved in business advisory services such as industry
studies,feasibility and viability studies, regulatory due diligence and
immigration services to foreign direct investments in Malaysia and Malaysian
companies investing outside Malaysia.
Alex participates actively in the accounting profession in Malaysia. He
is currently the President of CPA Australia, Malaysia Division and is involved in
the Financial Reporting Standards Implementation Committee (FRSIC) of MIA and
the Financial Statements Review Committee of MICPA. He is a member of the
Policy and Standards Working Committee of the Accountant General’s Department
of Malaysia. Alex was a Council Member of MIA from 2009 to 2011.

Dr. Maya Khemlani David
Professor Dr. Maya
Khemlani David (Faculty of Languages and Linguistics, University of Malaya)
received the Linguapax Award in 2007 and is an Honorary Fellow of
the Chartered Institute of Linguists, United Kingdom and an Honorary Member of
the Foundation of Endangered Languages. As a sociolinguist, Dr. David has a
special interest in discourse analysis, languages in Malaysian minority
communities, and the role of language in establishing and maintaining national
unity within and across cultures.
She is a Visiting
Scholar, College for Women and also consultant (ELT) for Kinnaird College, both
in Lahore, Pakistan. She also is Hon. Academic Consultant, London College of
Clinical Hypnosis. She holds an Executive Diploma in Coaching and also in
Counselling. Her
