• The DEADLINE for payment is on 16 December 2013.
• FAILURE to make payment BEFORE 16 December 2013 will result in loss of securing a place.
•  Do capture a picture of the payment slip as a proof for backup purposes.

Procedures of keeping the payment slip if online banking users

•  After you have completed the fund transferring process, a payment receipt showing “Successful” or “Accepted for processing” will appears.
• Click “Print”.
• Under “Printer name”, choose “Microsoft XPS Document Writer”.
•  Name the file and select a location to save the file.

 *This method enables you to save the file if you do not have   printer at the moment you make the online payment.

A friendly reminder here:

• Bring TWO copies of the payment slip on MASC's event day (11 February 2014) for registration purposes.
•  The two copies will be stamped during registration and MASC committee will keep one copy of the payment slip.
• Final verification of payment is based on the hard copy of the payment slip received on registration day (11 February 2014). Participants who fail to present the hard copy of the payment slip during registration is assumed to have NOT paid and is required to pay RM60 cash on the event day.
•  The registration fee (RM60) cannot be refunded for any reasons.
•  For online banking, you are required to print at least TWO copies of payment slip to be presented during registration on event day.
• For inter-bank online banking transaction, duration of processing is expected to be at least three working days after the payment.

Highlighted Programmes in MASC 2014

1. Finance Game

- Participants will have the chance to learn the essential financial knowledge like how to manipulate the external opportunities and internal strengths to manage funds. MASC-ians will be able to gain experiences that can be applied in the real world of finance through this mentally challenging game. Besides that, participants will be able to boost their social skills as this game requires discussion and teamwork. Also, you guys will be having a lot of fun! That’s like killing two birds with one stone.

2.  Field Visiting

- The MASC team is on a mission to make MASC 2014 the most different accounting convention yet. This year, we are implementing field visiting in our programme flow for the very first time! Why field visiting , though? Well, we would like to give participants a brief outlook to the working world. Participants will be able to visit offices or companies of their probable future employers.

3. Adventure

- “Adventure” is a brand new game that has been given a lot of thought by the MASC Programme Department. They have thought of various concepts to make ordinary station games look extraordinary. Sick of staying indoors? Well, in ‘adventure’, participants will be able to move those muscles, and get some fresh air to complete the mind-boggling tasks given.

4. Charity Programme

- Being accounting students, we’re sure that you guys have heard of the term ‘corporate social responsibility’. MASC 2014 will be completing our fair share of CSR as well. Through this event, participants will be able to interact, motivate and play with underprivileged children.

5. War Game

- MASC is a platform for accounting students in Malaysia to get to know each other and to widen their circle of friends. In “ War Game”, you guys will be able to meet and interact with new people. Through this game, we can guarantee that the number of contacts in your phone will be increasing, and the number of friends on your Facebook list will go up as well!

6. Convention Dinner

- It is said that ‘convention dinner’ is the celebration of the end of MASC. Participants are required to dress according to the special theme provided. So girls, get your best dresses out. Guys, get that hair gel and hair spray ready. The MASC convention dinner is the chance for you guys to look like a million dollars so, dress to impress!

7. Debate

- Are you an articulate person? Do you have a knack for debating? 
Here is a chance for you to perform yourself. This year, MASC is going to held a whole new programme - DEBATE COMPETITION with the title 'JOB SECURITY vs SALARIES'. 
The FIRST 6 UNIVERSITIES registered will be eligible to send 1 representative from each university.
As the future leaders of the country, show your courage to fight for the chance for us to hear your thoughts.

       Good interpersonal skills are no longer a luxury but a necessity in today's working life. One is more likely to carve a niche in their chosen career if he or she possesses such excellent quality. Through this plenary session, delegates will be able to equip themselves with a guide on speaking etiquette to make the most of any opportunities.

• The Spangled Accounting Field

      'What career can I embark on in the future' is one of the questions that always lingers in participants' mind. Through this plenary session, delegates will learn how to research options, realizing their own strengths and weaknesses, as well as acquiring new skills and ultimately pick the career that's right for them.

Interview with Mr Michael Teoh Su Lim

Our Public Relations Department member, Chye Zu Er had interviewed Mr Michael Teoh- a renowned speaker. Here was what he posted on his Facebook page. 

"Happy Sunday! Here is a Story of Touching Lives in the Past (Today) and How You could be Responsible for Many Good Things to Come in the Future. I first met Zu Er (The girl seated to my right in the photo) when i went to her secondary school, Jit Sin High School Bukit Mertajam to give a talk a few years back. She was then in Form 3, getting ready to sit for her PMR exams. Fast forward to today, she is in her 1st year of studies in University Malaya and is doing well, leading student-run societies and organising Malaysia's largest Accounting Students Conference (MASC). What was interesting was how she related the Importance or Impact of a few Spoken Words and Sharing of Ideas & Experiences have Inspired her and led her to Live Life to its Fullest Potential today. I tend to believe where the saying that 'Talk is Cheap and Action is Everything', but in certain cases, those 'Small Talks' that you do, can indeed change lives for the better...Maybe not today, but sometime in the future, as people remember and reflect on what you said to them. Just a thought!"
